Job summary

Airbus in Malaysia seeks an aerospace engineer to assess orders, identify required expertise, materials, and tools, and outline risk mitigation.

You will manage MRP, coordinate project teams, conduct damage assessments, and prepare repair proposals while liaising with Tech Support to extend maintenance beyond routine levels. You will ensure compliance with Airbus quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• BSc or BEng in Aerospace Engineering, Electronic, Electrical & Electronics, or equivalent Engineering programme.
• Or; Part 66 certified mechanic by CAAM, EASA, CAA UK and FAA with 5 years in aircraft maintenance of equivalent function.
• Able to communicate effectively in English in both verbal and written form.
• Be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and travel for assignments.

Responsibilities

• Assess incoming orders, determine necessary technical expertise, materials, and tools, and identify potential risks with mitigation measures.
• Material requirements planning (MRP): consider spares and schedule orders for on-time delivery.
• Follow work progress and manage daily meetings with project teams.
• Perform damage/defect assessment, prepare reports, propose repair solutions, and liaise with Tech Support for maintenance beyond O & I levels.
• Manage unplanned work scope including troubleshooting, obsolescence, and deviations from production plan.
• Close work packs with MRO, CAMO and monitor costs, KPIs, returns, rework and warranty.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Airbus quality standards; close project documentation.
• Support Engineering Department activities and uphold Airbus Values and Code of Conduct.
