Job summary

FAB9 SF SDN. BHD. is seeking a technician to repair and rework motherboard/PCBA assemblies.

You will troubleshoot boards using schematics, perform SMD and through-hole replacements, and operate rework equipment such as SRT and X-Ray systems to ensure quality and functionality. You will work with engineering on failure analysis, maintain strict ESD controls, and document maintenance and repair records. Fresh graduates or 1–2 years in electronics are welcome, with a focus on IPC standards and

Qualifications

• Certificate/Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Hands-on experience in motherboard/PCBA repair and rework.
• Strong soldering and component replacement skills.
• Preferred experience operating rework equipment such as SRT, Solder Pot, X-Ray preferred.
• Basic knowledge of BGA, QFN, fine-pitch and SMD components.
• Able to read schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, and technical drawings.
• Able to use DMM, oscilloscope, DC power supply, microscope, and other electronic test equipment.
• Good understanding of ESD and IPC-A-610 / IPC-7711/7721 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform motherboard/PCBA component-level repair and rework.
• Troubleshoot defective boards using schematics and rework equipment.
• Replace SMD and through-hole components; solder, desolder, touch-up solder.
• Operate SRT rework machine and solder pot for rework processes.
• Inspect solder joints with X-Ray and microscope; verify functionality.
• Coordinate with Eng on failure analysis and root-cause investigations.
• Maintain ESD controls and IPC workmanship standards.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repair, downtime, and spares.
