Job summary

Hi 5 Sen Development & Training Sdn Bhd in Balakong, Selangor seeks a Special Education Physical Education Teacher to support children with special needs. The role focuses on adapting physical education activities and creating inclusive lesson plans.

You will work with therapists, maintain safety, assess progress, and collaborate with families. A degree/certification in Special Education or Physical Education is preferred plus at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience working with children with special needs.
• Strong understanding of adapted physical education principles and special needs education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents and colleagues.
• Ability to create and adapt lesson plans for diverse learning needs.
• Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting development of children with special needs.
• Certification or degree in Special Education, Physical Education, or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in behavior management techniques within classroom or activity setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging sports and physical education programs tailored to children with special needs.
• Adapt activities and exercises to meet diverse developmental and physical requirements.
• Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and educational team.
• Create a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for all students during physical activities.
• Collaborate with therapists and other specialists to ensure a holistic approach to child development.
• Maintain equipment and ensure safety of the sports facilities.
• Promote physical fitness, motor skill development and social interaction through sports.
