Job summary

Hi 5 Sen Development & Training Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a dedicated educator to work with children with special needs in a physical education setting. The role focuses on developing engaging sport and PE activities tailored to diverse abilities.

You will create adaptive lesson plans, collaborate with therapists and staff, monitor progress, and communicate with parents. A relevant certification is preferred and at least 1 year of experience is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience working with children with special needs.
• Strong understanding of adapted physical education principles and special needs education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to create and adapt lesson plans for diverse learning needs.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the development of children with special needs.
• Certification or degree in Special Education, Physical Education, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in behavior management techniques within a classroom or activity setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging sports and physical education programs tailored to children with special needs.
• Adapt activities and exercises to meet the diverse developmental and physical requirements of students.
• Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and the educational team.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students during physical activities.
• Collaborate with therapists and other specialists to ensure a holistic approach to child development.
• Maintain equipment and ensure the safety of the sports facilities.
• Promote physical fitness, motor skill development, and social interaction through sports.
