Job summary

Onthego F&B Industry Sdn Bhd – Salak, Selangor is seeking a Jr Finance Executive (Accounts Payable & Data Entry) to manage daily data entry for accounting and AP transactions. You will verify and match PO/DO with supplier invoices, maintain AP records, and monitor payment due dates. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential.

The role offers opportunities to interact with suppliers and internal teams, support month-end closing, and perform various accounting tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting documents such as invoices, PO, DO, payment vouchers and supplier statements.
• Good attention to detail and able to perform high-volume data entry accurately.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Able to work independently and complete tasks within deadlines.
• Responsible, organised and comfortable handling repetitive transaction-based work.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience using SQL / SQL Accounting, MySQL or other accounting/database systems is an added advantage.
• Previous experience in Accounts Payable (AP), accounting or finance data entry will have an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily data entry for accounting and Accounts Payable (AP) transactions
• Enter and maintain supplier invoices, bills, credit notes and other accounting documents accurately in the system
• Verify and match Purchase Orders (PO), Delivery Orders (DO) and supplier invoices before processing
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date Accounts Payable records
• Monitor supplier outstanding balances and payment due dates
• Assist in preparing supplier payments, payment vouchers and supporting documents
• Perform supplier statement reconciliation and follow up on any discrepancies
• Ensure all invoices and accounting documents are properly recorded, filed and organised
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments regarding invoices, supporting documents and payment matters
• Assist the Finance team with month-end closing and other basic accounting tasks when required
