Job summary

MUI Group is seeking a seasoned finance professional to manage accurate accounting records, prepare management and statutory accounts, and oversee tax and financial reporting across the group. You will ensure timely production of financial statements and maintain strong internal controls.

You will prepare quarterly analyses, annual budgets, and forecasts, while monitoring performance indicators and cost management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or professional qualification in accounting/finance.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA or CA preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and internal controls.
• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software; AutoCount experience advantageous.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate, complete and up-to-date accounting records for timely financial reporting.
• Oversee group accounting, finance and tax matters across the organization.
• Prepare, check and review group console accounts.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/yearly financial reports, forecasts and budgets.
• Conduct variance analysis and performance indicators for business units.
• Develop financial management mechanisms to minimize risk and manage costs.
• Prepare management papers and internal memos for approvals.
• Plan and prepare proposals for restructuring projects.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers and regulators; coordinate winding-up activities if needed.
• Communicate with auditors on new accounting standards and tax updates.

Job description

Key responsibilities

• Ensure proper maintenance of accurate, complete and up to date accounting records of the Company to ensure timely production of Management Accounts and Statutory Accounts on accordance with statutory regulatory requirements and applicable Accounting Standards. Overseeing and monitoring the full spectrum of accounts finance and tax related matters.
• Preparing, checking and reviewing the group console account.
• Preparation of account and financial analysis on quarterly report and performance review of business units within this Group.
• Prepare timely monthly, yearly financial reports, forecast, annual budget, variance analysis and performance indicators and ad hoc reports.
• Preparation of financial management mechanisms to minimize financial risk and responsible for cost management activities which include monitoring of bank balance and reconciliation, inflow and outflow forecasting.
• prepare management paper and internal memo for the management approval on account and finance related matters.
• Plan, discuss and prepare proposal for company restructuring project.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors , tax agent, solicitors, bankers, company secretary and other professional, regulatory bodies and communicate and deal with liquidator on the work of companies winding up.
• Communicate closely with auditor on new development or change of account reporting standard.
• Communicate closely with tax agents on new update or change of tax and public ruling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA , CPA or CA is an advantage
• Minimum 7years of relevant accounting/finance experience, preferably in a holding company, property or group environment
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and internal controls
• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software; AutoCount experience is an advantage
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
