Job summary

Salcon Berhad, a diversified investment holding group with presence in Malaysia and regional markets, is seeking an Accounts Executive in Malaysia. You will handle journal entries for accruals and prepayments, perform bank reconciliations, reconcile sales with reports and bank receipts, and assist in month-end and year-end closing.

The role requires a degree in Accounting or Finance and 2–3 years of relevant experience, with proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries for accrued expenses and prepayments.
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Reconcile sales transactions with sales reports and bank receipts.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Manage supplier invoices, staff claims, and payment processing accurately, ensuring all supporting documentation is in place.
• Monitor cash flow and update daily bank balances.
• Assist in preparing management reports and financial statements.
• Liaise with auditors and tax agents regarding finance-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.
• Maintain accurate record-keeping and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
