Job summary

Mewah Group is seeking an Executive II, Accounts to join our Finance team in Malaysia. This role focuses on financial reporting, accounting compliance, taxation, audit coordination, and management reporting while ensuring adherence to accounting standards and company policies.

You will prepare monthly management accounts, support closing activities, coordinate with tax agents and auditors, and contribute to process improvements and finance automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
• 1–3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, taxation, and SST.
• Experience in preparing full sets of accounts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and quarterly group reporting packages.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, tax regulations, and SOPs.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities and maintain GL accuracy.
• Coordinate with tax agents, auditors, and regulators on tax and audit matters.
• Prepare audited financial statements and statutory reporting on time.
• Perform financial analysis including budget variance and forex reporting.
• Prepare reports required by Bank Negara Malaysia and government agencies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and finance automation.
• Assist with ad hoc assignments from Management.
