Job summary

COBNB SDN. BHD. in Kuala Lumpur seeks an Accounts Executive to manage daily finance operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations and invoice processing. You will help ensure accuracy of financial records and support month-end close.

You will liaise with internal departments, suppliers and customers, monitor payments, and identify process improvements to strengthen internal controls. Fresh graduates welcome; 1–2 years’ experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of working experience in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with SQL Accounting is an added advantage.
• Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Verify and reconcile daily transactions against the Property Reservation System (PRS), bank records, and the accounting system to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor customer payments, platform collections, bank receipts, and outstanding balances, and follow up on overdue payments where necessary.
• Process supplier invoices, staff reimbursement claims, and payment requests accurately and in a timely manner.
• Verify invoices, supporting documents, and approvals to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
• Perform account reconciliations, including customer, supplier, bank, and general ledger reconciliations, and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and other supporting documents.
• Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, customers and external stakeholders on finance-related matters.
• Assist in month end closing activities and account reconciliations.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and strengthen internal controls.
• Perform any other finance and accounting duties as required.
