St. Giles Wembley Penang Hotel in George Town, Penang, Malaysia, is seeking an Accounts Executive - Credit Officer cum Cost Controller. The role covers billing, collections, cost control, and month-end reporting within a bustling hotel environment.

The candidate will handle invoicing, AR ledger management, disputes, and assist management with month-end closures, including daily and month-end F&B cost reports.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Advanced/Higher Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–3 years of accounting experience, specifically in Credit Control/AR and/or Cost Control, preferably in hospitality.
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel; familiarity with PMS and POS systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Billing & invoicing responsibility.
• Collections & Accounts Receivable ledger management.
• Handling billing disputes & query resolution.
• Reporting to management for month-end reports.
• Preparing daily reports related to Food & Beverage cost.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for Billing & Invoicing
• Responsible for all Collections & Accounts Receivable Ledger Management
• Handling Billing Disputes & Query Resolution
• Reporting to Management for month-end reports
• Preparing daily reports related to Food & Beverage cost
• Prepare a month-end Food and Beverage Report

Requirements

• Qualifications: Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking, or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of working experience in accounting, specifically handling Credit Control/AR and/or Cost Control, preferably within the hospitality/hotel industry.
• Skills: Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel. Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS) and point-of-sale (POS) systems is highly advantageous.
• Attributes: Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, excellent communication skills for handling disputes, and the ability to meet tight financial deadlines.
