Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Data Analyst to collect, organize, verify, and analyze data from accounting systems and other sources. You will assist in creating customized reports and dashboards to deliver meaningful insights to management.

The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Power BI and MS Office. Collaboration across teams will drive data-driven recommendations and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent is required.
• 1 year experience as Account Analyst is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to validate data for accuracy.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with numerical sensitivity.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Power BI.

• Collect, organize, verify and analyze data from accounting systems and other internal and external sources;
• Assist in developing customized reports and dashboards to deliver meaningful insights to management;
• Identify trends, patterns and anomalies in data to support continuous improvement initiatives;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret data and translate findings into actionable business or financial recommendations;
• Continuously improve tools and processes to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of analytical outcomes;
• Perform operational variance analysis and identify root causes for variances;
• Support corporate exercises and provide backup to the finance operations team as needed;
• Conduct ad hoc analyses and perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements: -

• At least Diploma in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent.
• Has 1 year working experience as an Account Analyst will be an added advantage.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform basic data validation and ensure accuracy;
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a logical mindset and strong numerical sensitivity, capable of working with large and complex datasets;
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present reports, findings and presentations clearly and concisely;
• Able to operate Microsoft Office applications (Power BI).
