Job summary

Efferty International in Malaysia is seeking a detail-oriented accountant to manage daily accounting and finance transactions, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.

The role covers full set of accounts, monthly P&L, bank reconciliations, and supporting audits and statutory matters, with proficiency in SQL Accounting Software. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of accounting experience, strong double-entry knowledge, and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of double-entry accounting.
• Able to prepare and understand P&L reports.
• Good knowledge of bank reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting and finance transactions accurately
• Perform full set of accounts and maintain accounting records
• Prepare monthly P&L reports and other financial reports
• Perform bank reconciliation and ensure all transactions are recorded
• Monitor accounts payable/receivable and other accounting tasks
• Assist with monthly closing and ensure timely updates

• Check and verify financial data for accuracy

Key responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting and finance transactions accurately
• Perform full set of accounts and ensure accounting records are properly maintained
• Prepare monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) reports and other financial reports
• Perform bank reconciliation and ensure all transactions are properly recorded
• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable and other accounting-related transactions
• Assist in monthly closing and ensure accounts are updated on a timely basis
• Prepare and maintain proper documentation and filing for accounting records
• Assist with audit, tax, statutory and other finance-related matters
• Use SQL Accounting Software for daily accounting operations and reporting

About you

• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience is preferred
• Proficient in SQL Accounting Software is a must
