Job summary

Lock+Store in Malaysia is seeking an Accounts Executive with at least 2 years of external audit experience. The role offers practical, hands-on exposure beyond audit, including commercial accounting, month-end closing, and business partnering with operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bank reconciliations and general ledger schedules.
• Prepare or understand a full set of accounts.
• Assist with month-end closing and financial statement preparation.
• Prepare audit and tax schedules.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and internal stakeholders.
• Use Excel and accounting software for day-to-day accounting.
• Work with operations teams to understand business performance and support commercial decision-making.

Lock+Store is a one-stop self-storage hub operating across Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia. In Malaysia, we operate three growing facilities in Glenmarie, Petaling Jaya, and Ampang.

We are looking for an Accounts Executive who has completed at least 2 years of external audit experience and is keen to build a long-term career as a finance leader.

This role is suitable for someone who wants practical, hands-on exposure beyond audit, including commercial accounting, month-end closing, stakeholder management, and business partnering with operations.

Requirements

• Able to take ownership of assigned work;
• Reasonable proficiency in Excel;
• Good understanding of accounting principles, audit schedules, and financial reporting;
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and learn the commercial side of the business;
• Preferably 2 years of external audit experience; and
• Open to consider Senior role should experience commensurate.
