Job summary

See Yong & Sons is seeking a highly motivated Accounts Assistant to join our finance team in Malaysia. You will handle daily accounting duties, support month-end closing, and prepare financial reports with attention to accuracy.

The ideal candidate has a degree or diploma in accounting, strong numerical and analytical skills, and proficiency in AUTOCOUNT and MS Office. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related fields.
• Fresh graduates welcome to apply; candidates with 2–3 years of relevant experience are preferred.
• Proven experience in accounting/finance role is a plus, preferably as Accounts Assistant.
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Excellent numerical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in AUTOCOUNT accounting software, MS Office & MS Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Ability to work independently and in a team and manage multiple tasks with strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily assigned accounting duties and prepare financial and management reports.
• Perform day-to-day finance operations including Account Receivables, Account Payables, Fixed Assets Management, Cash Management, General Ledger, and related tasks.
• Keep accurate records for all daily transactions.
• Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities and financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain financial reports and records, ensuring timely and accurate reporting with proper filing.
• Assist in preparation of tax returns, submissions and audits.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary and other professionals.
