Job summary

SINOVEST INDUSTRIES SDN BHD is seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join the Finance Department. You will support day-to-day accounting activities, invoices, payments, records, bank reconciliation and other finance-related tasks in a growing business environment.

Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply; SQL Accounting Software experience is an advantage and proficiency in Excel is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant accounting experience preferred.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with SQL Accounting Software is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting and finance-related administrative tasks.
• Process and maintain sales invoices, purchase invoices, payment records and other accounting documents.
• Ensure payments, amounts and financial records are accurate and properly recorded.
• Maintain and update sales and purchase ledgers, journals and accounting records.
• Perform data entry and filing of accounting and financial documents.
• Assist in processing expense claims and payment requests for approval.
• Perform bank reconciliation and assist in checking discrepancies.
• Assist in monitoring customer accounts and following up on outstanding payments.
• Assist in preparing documents and information required for statutory accounts and financial reporting.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, third-party service providers and internal departments regarding accounting-related matters.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
• Ensure accounting records and supporting documents are properly organized and up to date.
• Assist the Finance Department with other accounting tasks and assignments when required.
