Job summary

Ban Cheong Construction Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to process invoices and pay creditors accurately and timely. A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/finance and 2–3 years of relevant experience are required.

You will handle full sets of accounts, use accounting software and Excel, and maintain proper filing. SST and e-Invoice knowledge is a plus; strong communication and the ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant working experience in accounting.
• Must be able to handle full set of accounts independently.
• Familiar with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of SST and e-Invoice will be an added advantage.
• Good communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Responsible, detail-oriented and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts and cash flow management.
• Manage accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP).
• Handle correspondence with suppliers, government authorities and other third parties.
• Process outgoing payments in accordance with company financial policies and procedures.
• Perform daily financial transactions, including verifying, classifying and recording accounts payable transactions.
• Reconcile accounts payable ledgers to ensure all invoices and payments are accurately recorded.
• Verify and investigate discrepancies by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly statements.
• Process supplier payments, monitor payment terms and discounts, and resolve discrepancies involving purchase orders, contracts, invoices and payment documentation.
• Maintain proper filing systems and ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping.
• Perform general office administrative duties as required.
