Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Malaysia seeks an experienced RTR professional to maintain general ledger, reconcile accounts, and support IFRS 16 reporting in collaboration with local finance teams.

You will review Capex requisitions, manage bank reconciliations, and ensure timely close cycles while upholding group policies. Strong analytical skills and adaptability are essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CPA/ACCA or equivalent) is an added advantage.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in RTR.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn in a dynamic environment.
• Proven ability to analyze financial data, identify trends and provide insights.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger accounts, including journal preparation, review and approval.
• Reconcile financial data in the general ledger to supporting documents and ensure balance sheet accounts are accurate.
• Review Capex related purchase requisitions to align with policy and procedure.
• Regularly review bank open items for timely reconciliation and follow up on discrepancies.
• Monitor reporting of fixed assets, intercompany transactions with SSC and local finance teams.
• Support cash management activities including internal and external banking transactions.
• Manage IFRS 16 reporting including lease contracts in LEAP database and embedded reporting.
• Maintain period-end and year-end closing schedules for in-scope countries.
• Ensure timely, complete and accurate reporting per group policy and IFRS requirements.
• Implement and maintain ICS controls and provide evidence per policy.
• Deliver in-scope processes to KPI requirements and support performance management.
• Engage with country teams and shared services for process inputs/outputs.
• Support internal/external audits and document work instructions.
• Provide updates to manager on progress and escalations.
• Ensure CREST and local accounting systems reflect accurate results.
• Provide accounting technical support with Accounting Governance.
