Job summary

Malindo Exim Sdn bhd is seeking a diligent accounting professional to manage daily accounting operations, maintain financial records, and support the company’s finance activities in Melaka. The role involves preparing invoices, performing bank reconciliations, and assisting with monthly closes.

The candidate should have 2 years of relevant experience, a diploma/degree in accounting, and proficiency with accounting software and Excel.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in accounting.
• Familiar with full set of accounts is an advantage.
• Knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and basic statutory requirements.
• Good communication, analytical and organisational skills.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Detail-oriented, responsible and able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting transactions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, receipts and other accounting documents.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Prepare bank reconciliation and monitor daily banking transactions.
• Assist in monthly closing and preparation of financial reports.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue payments.
• Assist with SST, tax, audit and other statutory requirements.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting records.
• Liaise with suppliers, customers, auditors, tax agents and other relevant parties when required.
• Perform any other accounting and administrative duties assigned by management.
