Job summary

MK CLEANING SERVICES SDN BHD in Setia Alam, Selangor seeks a full-time Accounting professional to manage financial operations and ensure accurate reporting. This role is central to maintaining financial integrity and supporting informed decision-making across the organisation.

You will record transactions, prepare statements, reconcile accounts, handle payables and receivables, assist budgeting and forecasting, and liaise with external accountants and auditors.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ICAEW, or equivalent is advantageous
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Comprehensive knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards and tax regulations
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
• Sound understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Professional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members
• High level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Recording and maintaining accurate financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards and company policies
• Preparing and reconciling bank statements, general ledger accounts and other financial records
• Processing accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely and accurate payments
• Preparing financial statements and reports for management and stakeholder review
• Conducting monthly, quarterly and annual financial reconciliations
• Supporting audit activities and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Maintaining organised and secure financial documentation and records
• Liaising with external accountants, auditors and financial institutions as needed
• Contributing to the improvement of accounting processes and internal controls
