Job summary

Businesslist is seeking a Finance Manager to lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and ensure accurate financial reporting in line with regulatory standards. You will prepare statutory and management reports, oversee GL analyses and reconciliations, and strengthen controls across bank, intercompany, and inventory processes.

The role requires ACCA/CPA or equivalent, a degree in accounting or finance, and proficiency with accounting software and Excel.

• Retail industry experience is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Managed the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing process, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting.
• Prepared and reviewed statutory and management reports in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Performed general ledger analysis, account reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
• Oversaw bank, credit card, intercompany, and inventory reconciliations while strengthening financial controls and accounting procedures.
• Managed accounts payable activities and monitored cash flow to optimise liquidity and support operational requirements.
• Led fixed asset accounting, including asset tracking, capitalisation, and depreciation calculations.
• Coordinated external audits and acted as the key liaison for auditors, ensuring smooth completion of audit engagements.
• Ensured accurate and timely corporate tax, VAT/SST filings, declarations, and year-end tax computations in accordance with legal requirements.
• Developed cash flow forecasts and implemented initiatives to improve working capital and enhance liquidity management.
• Managed and provided functional leadership to both local Accounting teams and the Shared Services Centre (SSC)

Successful Applicant

What's on Offer

• Monthly salary between MYR 15000 and MYR 19000.
