Job summary

Zebra Technologies Corporation in Penang is seeking an Accountant responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial statements and the month-end close for APAC entities. You will manage journal entries, general ledger records, and reconciliations while ensuring compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; professional qualifications add advantage.
• 1-3 years of experience, preferably in accounting firm or MNC.
• Knowledge of transfer pricing and treasury is a plus.
• Experience with Oracle ERP and BI tools (PowerBI) is preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication; Mandarin language is an added advantage.
• Proven ability to support cross‑functional teams and drive efficiencies.
• Results oriented, analytical, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily general accounting activities.
• Perform month-end close and prepare financial statements (P/L, B/S, cash flow).
• Maintain general ledger records and journal entries; investigate reconciling items.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, SOX, IFRS, and local regulations.
• Drive US GAAP/statutory accounting compliance; collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• File statutory filings and coordinate with external providers.
• Collaborate with AR, AP, Payroll, FP&A, Tax, Internal Audit, Facilities, etc.
• Contribute to process improvements and ad hoc projects.
