• Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles, practices, and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and errors.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to work with financial data.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, including journal entries, ledger accounts, and financial transactions.
• Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and payment vouchers in a timely and accurate manner.
• Reconcile bank statements and accounts to ensure all transactions are correctly recorded.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including follow-up on outstanding payments.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and procedures.
• Assist with tax compliance matters and ensure adherence to relevant regulations.
• Provide financial support and analysis to different departments as required.
• Liaise with external auditors and provide necessary documentation during audits.
• Perform general administrative duties related to accounting and finance functions.

About the role
