Career Horizons seeks a Senior Accountant in Malaysia to oversee the company’s financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal controls for a listed entity. You will ensure accurate, timely financial data to support strategic decisions and governance.

The role includes quarterly Bursa Malaysia reporting, staff supervision, and coordination with tax agents and auditors, while maintaining compliance and efficient finance operations.

Qualifications

• Oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, and controls.
• Prepare quarterly Bursa Malaysia announcements and reports.
• Liaise with tax agents, solicitors, bankers, auditors and other statutory bodies.
• Ensure timely and accurate management reports and financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee a full spectrum of finance functions, including group finance, credit control, treasury, accounts, budgeting/forecasting, taxation, insurance, legal, company secretarial management.
• Quarterly announcement and reporting to Bursa Malaysia.
• Supervise and monitor subordinate daily routine job function.
• Liaise with tax agents, solicitors, bankers, auditors and others statutory bodies.
• Ensure daily operations in Finance Department are carried out smoothly to meet all reporting deadline.
• Preparation of accurate and timely Management Reports and Financial Statements in accordance with statutory requirements.
• Ongoing review cost, proposal, evaluation of cost reduction opportunities.
• Support and manage internal and external audit requirement including ensuring timely resolution for audit findings and comments.
• Administration of Auto Count System.
