Job summary

Furama Bukit Bintang in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an accounting professional to manage a full set of accounts and ensure timely monthly and year-end closings.

You will prepare bank reconciliations, cash flow statements, and P&L/regulatory reports while supporting internal controls and ad-hoc projects such as inventory counts and asset tagging. A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required; knowledge of Q3 system is an advantage.

• Prepare reconciliations and financial statements with accuracy.
• Support internal control processes and ad-hoc projects.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts, work independently with minimal supervision.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and cash flow statements.
• Process daily/monthly documents and reports including accruals and prepayments.
• Ensure timely closure of accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare journals and schedules at month-end.
• Assist on internal control matters.

1. 1. Handle full set of account, can work independently with minimal supervision
2. 2. Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and cash flow/balance sheet/P&L statement.
3. 3. Process daily and monthly documents, spreadsheet and reports, such as accruals and prepayments and etc
4. 4. Ensure accurate and timely closure of accounts, resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
5. 5. Ensures that standard and miscellaneous journals and supporting schedules are prepared at the end of the month
6. 6. Assist on internal control matters.
7. 7. Involve in other ad-hoc projects as and when required ie. inventory count, asset tagging, CAPEX audit etc.
8. 8. To carry out any other duties as and when instructed by the Management from time to time.
9. 9. At least 3 years of working experience in the related field is required
10. 10. Knowledge of Q3 system will be added advantages.
