Job summary

HHC BUILDING CONSTRUCTION SDN BHD is seeking an accounting professional in Penang to manage full sets of accounts and deliver monthly management accounts.

You will handle AP/AR, bank reconciliations, journal entries and month-end closings, while monitoring cash flow and assisting budgeting. Mandarin language skills are a plus for liaising with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders; retirement and statutory payments are part of the duties.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Able to handle a full set of accounts independently.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting software.
• Able to communicate in Mandarin is advantages.
• Good analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.

Job description

Handle a full set of accounts independently.

Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.

Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).

Perform bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger.

Process journal entries and month-end closing activities.

Prepare payment vouchers, invoices, and official receipts.

Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting.

Ensure timely submission of statutory payments (EPF, SOCSO, PCB, SST, etc.) where applicable.

Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and government authorities.

Maintain proper accounting records and filing systems.

Assist with administrative and finance-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.

Able to handle a full set of accounts independently.

Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Good analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.

Able to communicate in Mandarin is advantages to liaise effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients, suppliers, or colleagues.
