Job summary

Cheil Malaysia is seeking an experienced Account Manager to oversee day-to-day operations for retainer and out-of-scope projects. You will act as the primary contact for Samsung's Product Division, coordinating client communications and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.

You will lead planning, manage vendors, maintain strong client relationships, and ensure timely delivery within budget.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Account Manager or in a similar role within an advertising or creative agency.
• Strong understanding of ATL, BTL, digital, printing, and production processes.
• Hands-on experience working with and managing production vendors.
• Excellent verbal, written communication, and client management skills.
• Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines.
• Diploma or Degree in Mass Communication, Business, Marketing, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning and coordination, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and to the required quality standards.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
• Take ownership of project planning, ideation, execution, and production, from brief to final delivery.
• Manage third-party vendors, including cost negotiation, agreements, and production coordination, to optimise the client's budget.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with trusted production vendors and partners.
• Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across all projects while adhering to agreed budgets and timelines.
• Handle relevant administrative and financial matters in accordance with company and client requirements.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members, leading by example in their day-to-day responsibilities and development.
