Mahnaz Retail Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an Accounts Executive to support day-to-day accounting and finance operations, including AP, AR, bank reconciliations and month-end closing. The role also assists with audit, tax, statutory and management reporting.
Key responsibilities include handling invoices and payments, managing AP/AR, reconciliations, GL entries, outlet sales reconciliation, and month-end closing processes across multi-outlet operations.
The Accounts Executive is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting and finance operations of Mahnaz Retail, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, general ledger, outlet sales reconciliation, month-end closing, and preparation of financial reports. The role also supports audit, tax, statutory and management reporting requirements.
Handle daily accounting transactions, including invoices, payments, receipts, debit notes and credit notes.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable and ensure transactions are properly recorded.
Perform bank reconciliations and investigate outstanding or unusual transactions.
Reconcile daily or monthly outlet sales, cash, card and e-wallet collections against POS or supporting records.
Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and supporting schedules.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing.
Prepare account schedules, accruals, prepayments and other accounting adjustments.
Monitor outstanding customer balances and follow up on collections where applicable.
Process supplier payments and ensure supporting documents and approvals are complete.
Maintain proper filing and documentation for invoices, payment vouchers, receipts and accounting records.
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Preferably 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
Experience in retail, FMCG, trading or multi-outlet operations would be an advantage.
Familiar with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Good understanding of basic accounting principles, AP, AR, GL and bank reconciliation.
Able to handle high transaction volumes and meet monthly closing deadlines.
Detail-oriented, organised and able to work independently.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Knowledge of SST, audit and Malaysian statutory requirements would be an advantage.
