Job summary

KWSB Metals in Malaysia is seeking a diligent Finance/Accounts professional to manage full-set accounting, payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting. The role involves liaising with auditors, tax agents, and banks, while ensuring statutory compliance and accurate monthly accounts.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma/ Degree in Accounting or Finance with 3–5 years of relevant SME experience and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience in SME.
  • Strong experience in full set accounts, audit, banking matters, and financial reporting.
  • Good knowledge of Malaysian accounting, taxation, and statutory requirements.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Able to review financial records, identify weaknesses, and recommend improvements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Able to liaise confidently with auditors, tax agents, banks, suppliers, external parties.
  • Mandarin speaking is preferred to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
  • Possess own transport and a valid driving licence.
  • Mature, responsible, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
  • Experience in improving accounting systems, financial controls, and company processes is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Review and manage the company’s overall financial and accounting records.
  • Handle full set of accounts, including AP, AR, GL, cash flow, and bank reconciliation.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, suppliers, and relevant authorities.
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Monitor the company’s financial position, expenses, cash flow, and outstanding payments.
  • Identify weaknesses, discrepancies, and areas for improvement in the company’s financial processes.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to accounting procedures, internal controls, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure proper documentation, filing, and compliance with statutory and company requirements.
  • Assist Management in financial planning, budgeting, cost control, and decision-making.
  • Handle payroll, statutory submissions, SST, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, and other related matters where applicable.
  • Support annual audit and ensure all required financial documents are properly prepared.
  • Perform other finance, accounting, and administrative duties assigned by Management.
