Job summary

GALLANT INDUSTRIES (M) SDN. BHD. in Ipoh is seeking an accounting professional to maintain accurate records, support finance and admin tasks, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

You will prepare monthly and year-end reports, handle reconciliations, budgeting support, and liaise with auditors. A Diploma/degree in accounting and 2–3 years of experience are preferred; familiarity with LCCI and Excel is expected.

Job description

This role involves maintaining accurate accounting records, documentation and proper filing for finance and statutory purposes, and supporting the Finance & Admin Manager in daily finance and administrative matters.

Key responsibilities

Maintain accurate accounting records, documentation and proper filing for finance and statutory purposes.

Prepare monthly financial, management and variance reports, schedules and account reconciliations.

Perform bank reconciliation, journal voucher checking, month-end and year-end closing, and assist with year-end reporting.

Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and follow up on overdue payments.

Prepare supporting documents for audit, tax, PCB, EA forms and statutory submissions, and liaise with auditors and relevant government departments when required.

Manage MIDA-related documents, applications and submissions.

Assist with budgeting, cash flow monitoring and costing analysis.

Support licensing applications, company projects and basic external communication related to finance matters.

Ensure accounting records and transactions comply with company policies, procedures and applicable accounting standards.

Perform other accounting, finance and ad hoc duties assigned by Management.

About you

Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

Preferably 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.

Knowledge of LCCI Accounting and Mathematics.

Familiar with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Good knowledge of basic accounting principles and Malaysian statutory requirements.

Experience in a manufacturing environment is an added advantage.

Detail-oriented, responsible and able to work independently.

Good communication and organizational skills.
