Job summary

A leading aerospace company in Shah Alam, Malaysia is seeking a Field Service Representative. The role involves supporting customers in technical issues, advising on maintenance programs, and acting as an interface between the company and customers. Candidates should have a degree, at least 3 years of experience in commercial airlines, and strong communication skills. The position offers a permanent contract in a professional environment focused on excellence and integrity.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years working in commercial airlines environment, preferably on Tech Services or FSR.
  • Good knowledge of Part M / Part 145 processes.
  • Familiar with Airbus documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Support customers in technical issues and documentation usage.
  • Advise on maintenance programs according to the AMM.
  • Interface between Airbus Military and the customer.

Job description
Scope of Position

Field Service Representatives (FSRs) represent Airbus Military on‑site at the customers’ facilities in the scope of supporting and advising the customer in any requested technical issues.

Key Responsibilities
Technical issues resolution

1- Provide assessment on technical issues.

  • Technical documentation
  • AM Technical Assistance Center support

2- Support modifications (SSBB, retrofits, etc).

  • Support the customer in getting all relevant information/documentation needed to perform the modification
  • Support the customer when performing modifications (Service Bulletins, Modifications, etc)
  • If required, contact AM Technical Assistance Center or the specific AM department to clarify issues regarding modifications or to receive instructions to perform the modification

3- Provide assessment on damage assessment.

  • Obtain all necessary documentation and information from AM in order to perform the assessment
  • Evaluate damages suffered by the A/C if required by the customer. Any damage assessment should be communicated to the AM FSR responsible.
  • If needed the FSR can request AM support in order to perform the damage assessment

4- Support to AIM FSRs in A/C inspections and evaluations.

  • Collaborate and coordinate A/C recoveries and returns to service
  • If AM support is needed contact the relevant department in order to get the support
Troubleshooting guidance

Provide support to troubleshooting.

  • Provide support to troubleshooting, following AM manuals, and communicate the problem to AM Technical Assistance Center if the problem persists
  • Support AM Organizations acting as interface in case of troubleshooting provided by AM organizations
  • Communicate AM any defect detected on the aircraft
Support on technical documentation

Technical documentation interpretation and support issues.

  • Support the customer with the usage of the technical documentation
  • Communicate to Airbus Military any possible error or issue of the documentation, and any statement that can lead to misunderstandings
Operational activities

1- Advise on maintenance programs.

  • The FSR should advise the customer on the maintenance programs application, according to the AMM

2- Interface between Airbus Military and AM Customer.

  • Provide information of Airbus Military to the customer
  • Provide information of the customer to Airbus Military, when required by AM personnel

4- Collaboration with AM.

  • Provide support to Airbus Military when required in different tasks such as commercial assessment or technical support

Upkeep and live Airbus Values, Leadership Model and Code of Conduct to be exemplary to others and to promote and increase the awareness of Airbus Values, Leadership Models and Code of Conduct.

Carry out any other task as directed by the superior.

Background and Skills Required
  • Minimum Education: Degree in any relevant field
  • Minimum experience: At least 3 years working within commercial airlines (Airbus fleet) environment; previous experience on Tech Services or FSR areas is highly desired
  • Good working knowledge on Part M / Part 145 process and procedures
  • Familiar with Airbus documentation
  • Experience by supporting airlines operation
