Job summary

Balens Design in Malaysia is seeking a 3D Designer who moves beyond drafting to bring spaces to life, creating accurate 3D models, shell layouts, and mood boards for site-ready concepts. You will render photorealistic interiors using 3ds Max or SketchUp, prepare lighting and textures, convert 2D drawings to 3D, and collaborate with designers to match budgets and construction realities.

A diploma or degree in interior design or architecture is preferred; 1–3 years of experience in residential

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in interior design or 3D visualization.
• Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• Proficient in 3ds Max, SketchUp, or similar 3D software.
• Able to read 2D AutoCAD drawings.

Responsibilities

• Create photorealistic 3D interior renders (perspectives, wide angles, close-ups).
• Set up lighting and textures to reflect buildable outcomes.
• Retouch renders with Photoshop or AI tools for color and polish.
• Convert 2D drawings and measurements into accurate 3D massing plans.
• Model walls, ceilings, doors/windows with precise dimensions.
• Position furniture and fixtures to establish clear traffic flow.
• Translate rough briefs into structured visual concepts.
• Curate mood boards with materials, colors, and lighting styles.
• Reference 2D AutoCAD files for exact dimensions and references.
• Coordinate with designers to align visuals with budgets and construction logic.
