Job summary

Columbia Asia Hospital - Taiping is seeking a Resident Medical Officer to provide 24-hour, on-site medical support across the emergency department and clinical areas. You will consult with the Emergency Physician/CMO and other specialists to ensure safe, quality care and timely treatment.

The role requires MBBS, MMC registration, and a valid APC, with substantial hands-on experience in Accident and Emergency units.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Registered with Malaysia Medical Council (MMC).
• Possess a valid Annual Practicing Certificate.
• Hands-on experience in Accident and Emergency units.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour medical service within the hospital.
• Consult with EP/CMO and specialists for continuity of care.
• Perform clinical procedures as requested; record treatments in EMRD.
• Inform consultants of changes in patient condition and actions taken.
• Initiate emergency treatments and ensure safe patient transfer when needed.
• Attend department meetings and support community health activities.
