Amazon Logistics is seeking a full-time Workplace Health and Safety Specialist (WHSS) to serve as the designated safety representative for assigned Amazon Logistics Centers (AMZL) in Hermosillo, Mexico. The WHSS coordinates and implements the Amazon Global Safety Program under site and regional leadership, promoting a strong safety culture and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities include delivering training, conducting safety observations, coaching associates on safe work

Formación

• Minimum 1 year of WHS-related field experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security or personnel in the workplace.
• Experience with professional documentation using Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Familiarity with STPS and IMSS regulations in MX.

Responsabilidades

• Identify compliance issues, risks, and improvement opportunities through daily, weekly, and monthly audits.
• Facilitate incident investigation process.
• Maintain required paperwork to comply with Amazon and regulations.
• Enter Incident Information in internal database in a timely manner.
• Perform observations & audits.
• Train and assist others to complete their responsibilities.
• Perform specific training as required by the Manager.
• May have additional responsibility for fire prevention or hazardous waste management depending on location.
• Participate in process improvement activities and manage actions to completion.
