Crunchyroll, LLC is seeking a Software Engineer II for their Video Playback Services in Mexico City. You will contribute to backend services powering the video playback experience for Crunchyroll’s global audience, collaborating with cross-functional teams and growing under guidance from senior engineers.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of experience, a CS/engineering degree, and hands-on work with TypeScript, Go, and cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.

Formación

• 2–4 years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• Solid experience with backend languages such as TypeScript or Go.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
• Understanding of video streaming, APIs, and backend service architecture.
• Comfortable working independently on defined projects in an Agile environment.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement backend services and APIs to support video playback and configuration.
• Collaborate with product, design, and QA to deliver high-quality features.
• Participate in code reviews and improve code quality and system architecture.
• Debug and resolve issues related to video delivery, service health, or API behavior.
• Take ownership of small to mid-sized features from design to deployment.
• Follow engineering best practices around testing, documentation, and deployment.
