Plan A Technologies is seeking a proactive, hands-on Solutions Architect with deep experience designing technology solutions for U.S. hospitals and health insurance payers.

The role is highly technical and client-facing, translating clinical, payer, and regulatory requirements into scalable, secure, production-ready solutions. You will work across business, product, architecture, and engineering teams to design enterprise-grade solutions, emphasizing healthcare interoperability, HIPAA-compliant

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years in a Solutions Architect or senior technical lead role.
• Direct experience designing solutions for U.S. hospitals and/or health insurers.
• Strong understanding of U.S. healthcare providers, workflows, and regulatory needs.
• Experience with HIPAA, PHI, and healthcare data security requirements.
• Experience with HL7 / FHIR and EHR/EMR integrations.
• Cloud architecture experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with secure, compliant deployments.
• Experience with CI/CD and modern SDLC practices.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution architecture from discovery through production delivery.
• Design scalable, secure, HIPAA-compliant architectures for hospitals and insurers.
• Translate clinical, payer, and operational workflows into technical solutions.
• Lead technical workshops and client-facing discovery sessions.
• Oversee integrations with EHR/EMR platforms and health systems.
• Collaborate with engineering to ensure architectural and security standards.
