Valeo Sistemas Electricos SA de CV seeks a Maintenance Trainee in our Mexico manufacturing facility to build foundational industrial maintenance skills. You will support preventative maintenance on production equipment, learn diagnostics, and assist with installation and commissioning under guidance.

The role emphasizes safety, record-keeping, and continuous improvement, with an entry-level focus and a structured training path.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Basic understanding of electrical concepts is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Eagerness to learn industrial maintenance.
• Physical ability to lift/move equipment and stand long periods.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and records.

Responsabilidades

• Assist senior technicians with routine maintenance on production machinery and inspections.
• Learn to diagnose minor malfunctions under supervision using procedures.
• Support repair/replacement of faulty components following safety specs.
• Participate in installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Maintain records of maintenance: work orders, parts, repair times.
• Follow safety regulations and environmental policies.
• Learn to read manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Identify efficiency gains to improve maintenance processes.
• Keep work area clean and organized.

Job Summary The Trainee Maintenance position at Valeo Sistemas Electricos SA de CV is an entry-level role designed to develop foundational skills in industrial maintenance, supporting the upkeep and optimal functioning of machinery and equipment within our manufacturing facility.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist senior maintenance technicians with routine preventative maintenance tasks on production machinery, including inspections, lubrication, and basic adjustments.
• Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions under supervision, applying established procedures.
• Support the repair and replacement of faulty components, adhering to safety protocols and technical specifications.
• Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and repair times.
• Adhere to all company safety regulations, procedures, and environmental policies.
• Learn to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying potential areas for efficiency gains in maintenance processes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Basic understanding of electrical concepts is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively in a team environment.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Eagerness to learn and develop skills in industrial maintenance.

• Must be legally authorized to work in Mexico.
