Johnson Controls in Monterrey, Mexico is seeking an Import/Export Operations Specialist to manage daily customs compliance for the plant. The role focuses on coordinating material arrivals, validating documents, and ensuring accurate tariff classifications and Annex 24 uploads.

You'll work with a cross-functional team, maintain data accuracy, and support continuous improvement in trade operations while meeting deadlines and regulatory requirements.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 2 years related experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Sense of urgency and ability to multitask.
• Proactive with problem-solving mindset.
• English proficiency around 80%.

Responsabilidades

• Execute daily import/export operations for the plant with focus on customs compliance.
• Coordinate arrival of materials with the customs agent abroad.
• Validate commercial documents and reconcile arrived components with documents.
• Prepare customs documents and provide tariff classification inputs.
• Serve as the main contact between the customs agent and the plant.
• Follow up on the customs clearance process through loading, crossing, and arrival.
• Validate and upload declarations into the Annex 24 system.
• Manage the Annex 24 system and track KPIs with customs agents.
• Review expense accounts.

What you will do:

Execute daily Import and Export operations for the assigned plant with a focus on Customs Compliance

How you will do it:

• Control the arrival of materials to the warehouse of the Customs Agent abroad

• Validation of commercial documents

• Reconciliation of arrived components vs. documents

• Preparation of customs documents

• Provide technical information obtained from other departments for the correct tariff classification of goods and/or request special import permits

• Point of contact between the Customs Agent and the service plant

• Follow-up of the customs clearance process, from loading, crossing, and arrival

• Validation of import and export declarations, as well as their reconciliation and upload into the Annex 24 system

• Management of the customs system (Annex 24)

• KPIs with Customs Agents

• Review of Expense Accounts
