Corning Inc. in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, is seeking an experienced Trade Compliance Analyst to monitor import/export activities, review documentation, and coordinate with brokers and internal teams.

The role focuses on USMCA compliance, tariff analysis, and data-driven reporting to drive cost efficiencies. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in Mexican customs, IMMEX programs, and trade calculations, with proficiency in PRISMA and MS Office.

Formación

  • Tariff classification and IMMEX program experience required.
  • Knowledge of USMCA/T-MEC and related trade regulations preferred.
  • Ability to analyze import/export data and prepare reports for management.
  • Experience coordinating with customs brokers, logistics teams, and internal stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

  • Monitor import and export activities to ensure compliance with customs regulations.
  • Review customs documentation, invoices, certificates of origin, entries, and shipping documents.
  • Coordinate with brokers, logistics providers, and internal teams for regulatory compliance.
  • Analyze tariff impacts and support duty optimization initiatives.
  • Maintain product information and trade records in PRISMA and other systems.
  • Prepare compliance reports, dashboards, and operational metrics.

Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance
  • Monitor import and export activities to ensure compliance with applicable customs regulations.
  • Review customs documentation, commercial invoices, certificates of origin, customs entries, and shipping documents.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure operational compliance.
  • Support responses to regulatory inquiries, audits, and customs reviews.
Tariff Analysis & Duty Optimization
  • Analyze tariff impacts related to U.S. and Mexican customs regulations.
  • Monitor and support compliance activities related to USMCA, Section 232, and other trade programs.
  • Identify duty mitigation opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Support duty optimization projects and tariff reduction strategies.
Tariff Classification & Product Database Management
  • Support tariff classification activities for new products and materials.
  • Review technical and commercial information to determine appropriate tariff classifications.
  • Maintain product information and trade compliance records within systems such as PRISMA.
Reporting & Data Analysis
  • Prepare compliance reports, dashboards, and operational metrics.
  • Analyze import/export data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support management reporting and business decision-making through analytical insights.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records to support internal and external audits.
Collaboration and Communication
  • Work closely with internal departments, including legal, logistics, procurement, and finance, to ensure compliance with trade regulations.
  • Serve as a point of contact for customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other external partners.
  • Respond to trade compliance inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
