Bright Machines is seeking a Trade Compliance Analyst to own the IMMEX program and manage customs inventory control for our Guadalajara operations. You will ensure compliance with Mexican regulations and audit readiness, coordinating with Supply Chain, Inventory, Logistics, Finance, and the customs broker.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years of IMMEX experience, with strong Excel and NetSuite skills, and fluency in Spanish.

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Customs, or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in trade compliance or foreign trade.
• Experience with Annex 24, 30, and 31.
• Knowledge of the IMMEX Decree, Ley Aduanera, and VAT/IEPS.
• Experience reconciling customs records with ERP data.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conversational English and fluent/native Spanish.
• Proficient in Excel and Office Suite.
• Experience with NetSuite and external IMMEX provider.

Responsabilidades

• Own the IMMEX program, including VUCEM filings, registrations, and stay timeframes.
• Manage Annex 24, 30, and 31 customs inventory control (imports/exports).
• Reconcile customs records with ERP data and physical inventory.
• Monitor VAT and IEPS certification requirements, renewals, and thresholds.
• Review docs prepared by the customs broker for accuracy.
• Manage reports from the external IMMEX service provider and follow up on findings.
• Maintain customs documentation and ensure SAT audit readiness.
• Report open balances and compliance status to the Supply Chain Manager.
• Support import/export activities and cross-border documentation as needed.
• Stay current on changes to Mexican foreign trade regulations.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Bright Machines is looking for a Trade Compliance Analyst to own the IMMEX program and customs inventory control for our Guadalajara operations. This role ensures compliance with Mexican customs regulations, accurate tracking of temporarily imported materials, and audit readiness.

You will work closely with Supply Chain, Inventory, Logistics, Finance, an external IMMEX provider, and the customs broker.

• Own the IMMEX program, including VUCEM filings, registrations, legal stay timeframes, and compliance requirements.
• Manage Annex 24, 30, and 31 customs inventory control, including imports, exports, discharges, waste, and scrap.
• Reconcile customs records with physical inventory and NetSuite and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor VAT and IEPS (CIVA) certification requirements, renewals, and compliance thresholds.
• Review and validate customs documentation prepared by the customs broker.
• Manage and validate reports from the external IMMEX service provider and follow up on findings.
• Maintain customs documentation and ensure SAT audit readiness.
• Report open customs balances, compliance status, and potential exposure to the Supply Chain Manager.
• Support import/export activities and cross-border documentation when needed.
• Stay current on changes to Mexican foreign trade regulations and assess their impact on the operation.

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Customs, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in trade compliance or foreign trade within an IMMEX manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with Annex 24, 30, and 31.
• Working knowledge of the IMMEX Decree, Ley Aduanera, and VAT/IEPS certification requirements.
• Experience reconciling customs records with ERP data and physical inventory.
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate compliance requirements clearly and work with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conversational English and fluent/native Spanish.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
• Experience with NetSuite and ERP-to-customs inventory reconciliation.
• Experience working with an external IMMEX shelter/service provider.
• Experience with SAT audits, self-corrections, or regularization processes.
• Experience in automation, robotics, electronics, or complex assembly manufacturing.
• Experience building or standardizing trade compliance processes in a growing or fast-paced environment.
