Job summary

Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG in Puebla, Mexico, is seeking a qualified design engineer to join our automotive powertrain team.

You will support the design engineering group with calculations, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration. The role requires a BS in Automotive/Mechanical/Mechatronic engineering, advanced English, and hands-on experience with PDM tools Windchill and Creo, plus a solid understanding of tolerances and DFMEA processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Automotive, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent; full-time availability.
• Advanced English – TOEFL/CEFR level as specified; strong language skills.
• Root cause analysis and problem resolution skills required.
• Self-starter with accountability and ownership.
• Ability to develop project schedules and track progress to completion.
• Applicable engineering and physics knowledge.
• Understanding of automotive powertrain.

Responsibilities

• Provide support on diverse tasks for the design engineering team.
• Support on PDM management through Windchill and PTC Creo.
• Perform engineering calculations (Stress analysis, tolerancestack-ups) to ensure or improve product function and manufacturability.
• Interact and collaborate with different cross functional teams including suppliers.
• Provide support on diverse documentation around design engineering such as DFMEA, ADVP&R and DVP&R.
