Position Overview

Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services. We are seeking a Senior Tunnel Surveyor / Tunnel Party Chief Surveyor for a construction project in Chesapeake, Virginia, United States. Duration: Estimated 1 year, with potential placement on other projects thereafter for continuity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the tunneling survey team.
• Establish and maintain control networks within the tunnel.
• Conduct tunnel alignments, as-built surveys, and deformation monitoring.
• Coordinate with engineering and construction teams for layout and staking.
• Maintain calibration and proper use of survey equipment.
• Maintain detailed records and reports.
• Implement safety and quality protocols.
• Communicate effectively with project teams to resolve issues.
• Train and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field.
