Eaton’s IS AER ITD division is seeking a Toolroom Supervisor - Molds to lead all tool room operations, including maintenance, repair, modification, and troubleshooting of molds, dies, fixtures, and tooling. The role ensures tooling availability and reliability to support production, and drives continuous improvement in quality, delivery, cost, and safety.

Eaton’s IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Toolroom supervisor - Molds.What you’ll do:Job summaryResponsible to lead all tool room operations, including the maintenance, repair, modification, and troubleshooting of molds, dies, fixtures, and tooling. The position ensures tooling availability and reliability, supports production requirements, and drives continuous improvement in Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Safety through effective resource management and technical problem-solving expertise.#Li-SL4Job responsibilities• Understanding of mechanical drawings (GD&T Certification).• Mold design (Type class 101,102,103 & 104 according to SPI).• Establish strategies / parameters for the use of team capabilities.• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance to molds (failures in hot runner systems and cold runner mold).• Manufacture of molds parts in conventional and/or CNC machines.• Diagnosis of root cost to failures and mold parts.• Coordinate personnel to perform or support work activities for operations needs.• Supports engineering and production in the execution of required changes.• Lead and coordinate tool room operations, establishing priorities and assigning resources to ensure timely support of production, maintenance, and engineering requirements.• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for molds and tooling to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.• Troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues, ensuring rapid restoration of tooling performance and production continuity.• Supervise the repair, modification, assembly, and validation of molds, dies, and tooling to ensure compliance with product specifications and manufacturing requirements.• Utilize advanced knowledge of mechanical drawings, GD&T principles, and tooling standards to support tooling maintenance, design reviews, and technical problem-solving activities.• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities related to tooling failures and performance issues to eliminate recurring problems and improve tool life.• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to implement engineering changes, process improvements, and tooling modifications that support operational goals.• Monitor tooling performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Safety results.• Manage tool room personnel by providing training, technical guidance, performance feedback, and skill development to maintain a capable and high-performing workforce.• Support new product launches by participating in mold design reviews, tooling validation, and production readiness activities to ensure successful implementation.• Ensure compliance with safety policies, quality standards, and company procedures while promoting a safe and organized work environment.Qualifications:Education level required• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Tool Engineering, or a related technical discipline.Years and area of experience required• 5+ years of experience in tool room, mold maintenance, tooling engineering, or related manufacturing environments, including supervisory responsibilities.Skills:Technical knowledge• Strong knowledge of injection molds, dies, fixtures, and tooling systems, including hot runner and cold runner technologies.• Proficient in mechanical drawing interpretation and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).• Experience with preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for molds and tooling.• Experience operating and supervising the use of conventional machining and CNC equipment.• Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions using structured problem-solving methodologies (5 Why, 8D, Fishbone, etc.).• Experience leading cost reduction and tooling optimization projects with measurable results.• Knowledge of mold design concepts, tooling components, and injection molding processes to support tooling maintenance and continuous improvement activities.• Experience in project management, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and project execution.• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.Soft skills• Effective Communication Skills.• Demonstrates a Collaborative Style.• Strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills.• Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.• Demonstrates a collaborative leadership style and promotes teamwork.• Results-oriented with a strong focus on quality, delivery, cost, and safety.• Strong decision-making and prioritization skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.• Ability to lead change and drive continuous improvement initiatives.• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.• Proactive mindset with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams.• Strong oral and written communication skills.All positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
