Jobtailor is seeking a Tooling Engineer to qualify and develop tooling for plastic injection molding. You will lead PPAP-based assessments, drive part improvements with APQP, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure tool readiness.

You will interact with global teams to meet milestones and support quality initiatives across the supply chain. The role requires 3+ years in tooling engineering, strong PPAP/DFM/DFx knowledge, and willingness to travel internationally.

Formación

3+ years of hands-on tooling engineering in a plastic injection molding environment.
Strong ownership of tooling design, build, validation, and launch activities.
Solid knowledge of PPAP process and core quality tools (DFM/DFx, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA).
Willingness to travel internationally as needed.

Responsabilidades

Assess and qualify mechanical parts (plastic, rubber, metal) using PPAP.
Lead part improvement using APQP for tooling.
Assess tool condition, propose repairs, and coordinate with suppliers.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet tooling milestones (refurbishings, repairs).
Support quality issues within the supplier network with corrective actions and audits.
Expand knowledge to support Sourcing, Engineering, and Marketing teams.
Collaborate with Commodity Managers, Program Managers, and Design Engineers worldwide.
Share knowledge and provide high-level training for engineering departments.
