Resideo is seeking a Tooling Engineer in Tijuana to design, develop, and validate tooling for plastic parts. You will lead PPAP/APQP activities, drive tool improvements, and coordinate with suppliers and cross‑functional teams to meet program targets.

You will work with global engineering and manufacturing teams, applying Six Sigma and GD&T skills, while traveling internationally as required to support project needs.

Formación

• 3+ years hands-on tooling engineering in plastic injection molding with tooling design/build/validation/launch ownership.
• Solid PPAP knowledge and core quality tools (DFM/DFx, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA).
• Advanced English to read/write/speak/present with cross-functional teams and global suppliers.
• Active passport and valid U.S. visa; willing to travel internationally as needed.
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced, results-driven settings with design, manufacturing, and suppliers.

Responsabilidades

• Support qualification and approval of mechanical parts using the PPAP process.
• Lead part improvement using APQP for mechanical parts.
• Assess tool condition, estimate time for repairs, and coordinate with suppliers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet tooling milestones and repairs.
• Assist with quality issues in Resideo's supply chain, including corrective actions and audits.
• Grow knowledge to support Sourcing, Engineering, and Marketing teams; provide training as needed.
