Yanfeng in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico, seeks a Tool Room Supervisor to manage human and material resources for plastic injection molds and other plant needs to keep molds in optimal condition for production. The role includes supervising Tool Room technicians and coordinating with production control, molding, and quality.

Formación

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a tooling engineer or similar.
• 3 years of experience supervising a tool room.
• Strong understanding of tooling maintenance and process troubleshooting.

Responsabilidades

• Manage the Tool Room area with respect to human and material resources for plastic injection molds and plant needs.
• Supervise Tool Room technicians and guide their work to ensure timely completion.
• Communicate mold status with production control, production-molding, quality, and other relevant positions.
• Develop suppliers for repairs and engineering changes with competitive pricing and required quality.
• Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure mold availability.
• Define internal Tool Room priorities based on workload to address the most relevant items.
• Uphold health, safety, and environmental policies and promote productivity and continuous improvement.

Descripción del empleo

Manage the Tool Room area in terms of human and material resources focused on the needs of plastic injection molds and other plant requirements in order to keep the injection molds in optimal conditions for production.

• Supervise the work of the Tool Room technicians, guiding and advising them on the execution of their work to ensure it is completed in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with the relevant positions (production control, production-molding, quality, etc.) regarding the status of the injection molds so that they are fully accountable.
• Develop suppliers that provide professional support for repairs and/or engineering changes, ensuring they offer competitive pricing and the required quality.
• Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program that ensures mold availability.
• Define internal Tool Room priorities based on the workload so that the most relevant items are adequately addressed.
• Demonstrate complete intolerance for unsafe acts and conditions, and are committed to complying with health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. Perform their duties with the highest quality, promoting productivity and continuous improvement to ensure the sustainability and development of the business.

Requirements:

• Mechanical engineering in polymers or similar.
• 3 years of experience as a tooling engineer or similar.
• 3 years of experience supervising a tool room.
