Job summary

North American Stamping Group in Querétaro, Mexico, is seeking a Tool & Die maker to develop and maintain tooling processes and troubleshoot production issues. You will work with the tool room to ensure availability and quality, and collaborate with engineers to modify prints and carry out preventive maintenance.

The role prefers 3+ years Tool & Die experience and a High School Diploma or GED, with CAD, basic electronics, and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years Tool and Die maker experience.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Certified Toolmaker or 5 years' Tool and Die experience preferred.
• Apprenticeship program completion would be nice.
• Willing to learn CAD and basic electronics.

Responsibilities

• A. Ensure tool room and presses are ready to meet production needs.
• B. Troubleshoot tooling problems at presses.
• C. Collaborate with staff to improve quality and production.
• D. Maintain and service production equipment as needed.
• E. Requisition tools, supplies and spare parts; keep areas organized.
• F. Maintain clean work areas.
• G. Coordinate with outside trades as required.
• H. Be available for overtime as needed.
• I. Participate in training as required.
• J. Suggest continuous improvement opportunities.
• K. Interpret prints for tooling modifications and improvements.
• L. Work with Engineers to modify prints as needed.
• M. Perform preventive maintenance as assigned.
• N. Accept additional duties from next level leader.
