Job summary

Flex is seeking a Test Engineer in Aguascalientes to join our manufacturing and test development teams. You will help design, implement, and maintain testing methods for hardware and software, coordinating with cross-functional colleagues to ensure reliable test results.

You will lead testing activities, develop instrument drivers, and document test procedures while exploring new testing technologies to improve yield and quality in production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level engineering in mechanical/electromechanical field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with SQL or scripting is a plus.
• English is conversational.
• Experience in leading test teams and cross-functional communication.
• Experience designing/test hardware and interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates testing hardware and software tests.
• Calibrates instruments and controls for test data.
• Resolves test data issues with engineering teams.
• Creates and maintains test documentation.

Job Summary

_To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Test Engineer located in Aguascalientes _

The Test Engineer role involves responsiblefor implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems, software, and/or equipment.

What a typical day looks like:

• Directs and/or coordinates electronic engineering and/or technical personnel in fabrication and design of testing and test control apparatus and equipment, or software and systems testing.
• Directs and coordinates electronic engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation and calibration of instruments, equipment and control devices required to test, and record test data.
• Interfaces and confers with scientific, engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues.
• Evaluates and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for use by electronic or software engineering, and management personnel.
• May develop or use computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software.
• Trains and instructs floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as problem solving techniques.
• Resolves test yield problems by performing evaluation of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.
• Perform and support equipment verification and integration in production.
• Create and maintain process documentation.
• Actively search for new technologies or procedures in the test sector.
• Defines conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Mechanical Engineer, Electromechanical Engineer or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with SQL and other programming/scripting languages is a plus.
• English Conversational.
• Develops instrument drivers.
• Leadership for managing work teams and effective communication with other departments.
• Designs and supports functional test hardware, computer platforms and interfaces.
• Coordinates 3rd party development of functional test development, enhancements, test fixtures.
• Designs, develops and/or supports environmental test programs, procedures and profiles.
• Designs and/or supportsmechanical/electricalinterfaces for product tests.
• Performs failure analysis on environmental test failures.
