Job summary

Flex is seeking an Electronics Test Engineer to implement and maintain cost-effective testing methods for electronic products and systems. You will lead engineers in designing test fixtures, calibrating instruments, and developing automated test software to ensure high-quality outputs.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data interpretation issues, train operators, and produce technical reports for management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
• Experience in test development and validation for electronic products and systems.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, controllers, interfaces, cabling and system integration.
• Hands-on experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, frequency counters, DAQ systems, programmable power supplies.
• Experience developing automated test software and test sequences.
• Programming and software development experience for test apps and automation.
• Experience in design and development of test fixtures for manufacturing and validation environments.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates electronic engineering and testing personnel in fabrication and design of testing equipment or software testing.
• Oversees development, procurement, installation and calibration of instruments for testing and data recording.
• Interacts with cross-functional teams to resolve testing problems and data interpretation issues.
• Evaluates test data and prepares technical reports for engineering and management staff.
• Develops or uses software/hardware to conduct tests on electronic products or systems.
• Trains floor staff on test hardware/software and problem solving techniques.
• Resolves yield problems by root cause analysis and corrective action coordination.
• Performs and supports equipment verification and integration in production.
• Creates and maintains process documentation.

Job Summary

General Purpose:

Responsiblefor implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems, software, and/or equipment.

Principle Accountabilities:

• Directs and/or coordinates electronic engineering and/or technical personnel in fabrication and design of testing and test control apparatus and equipment, or software and systems testing.

• Directs and coordinates electronic engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation and calibration of instruments, equipment and control devices required to test, and record test data.

• Interfaces and confers with scientific, engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues.

• Evaluates and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for use by electronic or software engineering, and management personnel.

• May develops or use computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software.

• Trains and instructs floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as problem solving techniques.

• Resolves test yield problems by performing evaluation of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.

• Perform and support equipment verification and integration in production.

• Create and maintain process documentation.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
• Experience in test development and validation for electronic products and systems.
