Job summary

Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo, Mexico, seeks a Tennis Attendant to deliver engaging tennis and pickleball experiences for guests of all ages. You will support private lessons, clinics, and group programs while upholding Four Seasons’ high standards of service and attention to detail.

The role requires at least 1 year of full-time tennis instruction in a luxury environment, with strong customer service, a professional demeanor, and the ability to work in a fast-paced guest-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of full-time tennis instruction experience.
• Experience in luxury resorts or country clubs is a plus.
• Ability to work with players of all levels and ages.
• Strong customer service, detail orientation, and organization.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tennis, pickleball, and group programming for guests of all ages.
• Support growth of tennis and paddle programs within the resort.
• Provide warm, personalized guest experiences and accurate reservations.
• Maintain racket area and court facilities in excellent condition.
• Answer phones, manage reservations, and assist guests with local info.
• Know schedules and court availability to anticipate guest needs.
• Recognize returning guests and tailor service to preferences.
• Assist with group clinics and adult cardio tennis.
• Support other recreation areas when not scheduling tennis.
• Maintain professional, welcoming environment and teamwork.

About the role

As a Tennis Attendant, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional tennis and pickleball experiences to guests of all ages and skill levels. You will support private lessons, clinics, and group activities while ensuring a welcoming, personalized, and high-quality experience that reflects Four Seasons standards of service, professionalism, and attention to detail.

What you will do

• Deliver engaging tennis and pickleball lessons, clinics, and group programming for guests of varying ages and skill levels.
• Support the growth and development of tennis, pickleball, and paddle programs within the resort.
• Provide a warm and personalized guest experience, including facility orientation, program explanations, equipment and towel service, and accurate entry of guest information into the reservation system.
• Maintain the racket area and tennis facilities in excellent condition, including court setup and breakdown, cleaning, organization, and replenishment of supplies.
• Answer phones, manage court and program reservations, and assist guests with resort and local information in accordance with Four Seasons standards.
• Maintain strong knowledge of tennis and pickleball programs, schedules, and court availability to effectively assist guests and anticipate their needs.
• Recognize returning guests and provide personalized service based on their preferences and previous experiences.
• Assist with group programming, including adult cardio tennis, junior clinics, and advanced player clinics.
• Support other Recreation and Sports areas throughout the resort or beach when there are no scheduled activities in the tennis area, performing assigned duties as needed.
• Maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming environment while ensuring all equipment and facilities are ready for guest use.
• Promote a culture of teamwork, service excellence, safety, and continuous learning within the Recreation team.

What you bring

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the tennis industry as a full-time instructor preferred.
• Experience in a luxury resort, country club, or high-end tennis environment is a plus.
• Strong knowledge and ability to work with players of all levels, from beginner to advanced.
• Strong customer service skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain an organized workspace.
• Professional demeanor with the ability to remain composed and effective in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
• Willingness to learn and actively participate in tennis, pickleball, and group recreation programming.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create positive relationships with guests and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of the Recreation team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 60 lbs. as required.
• Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in Mexico.
