Cummins Inc. in Mexico is seeking a Quality Technician responsible for ensuring products meet technical specifications and for preliminary on-line inspection under close supervision.

You will assist in final quality verification, compare measurements to specs, document non-conformances, and support containment actions to prevent disruptions.

The role emphasizes adherence to safety and environmental standards, with a focus on maintaining updated technical information and using GD&T and CMM tools.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimal or no prior work experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications.
• Basic measurement techniques and equipment knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with verification of final product quality on the production line.
• Compare components and materials to technical specs to identify defects.
• Separate non-conforming products using basic measurement techniques.
• Document non-conforming products in the specified systems.
• Adhere to company quality standards and procedures.
• Halt production when product is out of control as needed.
• Implement containment actions and communicate quality alerts.
• Verify updated technical information for the quality system.
• Maintain updated records of non-conforming materials and ensure no-use.
• Comply with safety, environmental, and continuous improvement processes.
• Use measurement equipment (CMM Faro/Hexagon).

Job Summary

Ensures products received or produced meet technical specifications. Works under close supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists with verification of the final quality of products on the production line.


• Compares the physical characteristics of components, materials, equipment and products to technical specifications to identify defects.


• Separates products that do not have the desired technical specification, using basic measurement techniques and equipment.


• Documents products that do not meet technical specifications using specified systems.


• Follows the norms and standards of quality defined by the company.


• Asegurar la liberación del producto y/o detener la continuidad de producción fuera del plan de control


• Implementar y dar seguimiento a las contenciones requeridas ante un problema de calidad y generar alerta de calidad ademas de difundirla.


• Verificar que la información técnica este actualizada para cumplir con el sistema de calidad


• Mantener información actualizada del material no conforme y asegurar la no utilización


• Cumplir con los reglamentos de seguridad, medio ambiente y procesos de mejora.


• Conocimiento en interpretacion de planos GD&T.


• Uso de equipos de medicion (Brazo de medicion (Faro/Hexagon).
